A Custom Logo is the First Impression Your Brand Makes

Your logo is the first impression your company makes. It's the first thing people see, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. That's why it's so important to partner with a logo design company that will work to understand your business and can create a logo that remains unique and timeless.

At Springer Studios, we do a deep dive into each client's brand voice, brand persona, pain points, individual personalities of leadership, and more to gain a true understanding of the business - everything about it. We then translate that into the logo design, color schemes, and aesthetics that appeal to the target audience.

While logo design is just one part of branding and marketing, it's an important one. Your logo will be on your website, business cards, letterhead, and more. It's an essential part of your company's identity, and it should be treated as such.

"Graphic design can be such an umbrella term and include so many different types of design projects from digital ads to magazine layouts to animation, you name it. But by far my favorite area of design to work on for clients is logo creation. There are not many things more rewarding to me than being able to create a logo and watch it live on, and serve a purpose.

The logo is an equitable part of any business. The amount of applications is infinitive from the thousands of collateral pieces it will be printed on to the millions of views it will have digitally on social media and websites.

Seeing this logo time and time again builds trust with the client. It’s kind of like putting a face to a name. When your customer thinks about your business this is what they see. When your client sees your logo it becomes the symbol of what your business stands for."

- Kelsey Tweed, Brand & Web Designer @ Springer Studios

Although each logo design and brand building project is unique, we have outlined the basic process that we typically follow. Even if these steps won't all apply to your logo project we find that these steps help guide clients' expectations for timelines and deliverables. Below is an outline of our typical logo design process:

  • The Creative Brief
  • Shared Inspiration
  • Sketching & Design
  • Logo Presentation
  • Logo Feedback & Revisions
  • Celebration

Of all the typical logo design steps none are more important than step #2 - shared inspiration. At Springer Studios, we understand that not all art is created equal and that the art we create for your logo needs to speak to who you are and to your business's brand persona.

Pro Tip: Keep it Simple. For example, limit the number of colors used in your logo design to one or two colors. Keeping the logo simple will also help in making it responsive, as the logo will need to work in large print applications as well as something as small as the favicon in a browser tab. Remember that not every single service or offering in your business has to be illustrated in the logo.
